Chart of accounts Troubleshoot
- Which method to use?: If you already have a chart of accounts and want to make it exactly the same, use the “Manually select”. However if you don’t, we recommend that you start with the simplified version as we selected the mostly used accounts needed for small companies in Switzerland.
- If I choose one method, can I change it later? If you chose one method and later you want to use another method. This is possible only if you are still in the company creation process. Go back to the page “Chart of accounts – 1” and choose another method. A confirmation message ask you if you are sure you want to do that because your full chart of accounts will be emptied before inputting the new one. All the work you did on the chart of accounts will be deleted.
- Can I change my chart of account later? Yes, you access the chart of accounts through the company settings. However it is important that you have all the accounts which are in your opening balance sheet. Without these accounts, you cannot input all the opening balances in the step 6 of the creation process, opening balances.
