Setting up an invoice connection
Accounting for sent invoices
If you connect your EZYcount to an invoicing system, you have a number of options to define the accounting treatment of received invoices. These options depend on your invoicing system and the complexity of your processes.
You can choose whether the accounting is done when the invoice is sent or only when the invoice is collected. The second option will be available from version 2.1 of the connection to an invoicing system.
Then you have the possibility to define the accounting entries made by the invoices.
- You can either let the invoicing system define the debit account or you can force all the debit entries of invoices to go through a specific account.
- You can either let the invoicing system define the credit account or force all credit entries of invoices to go through a specific account.
Specifying systematic accounts reduces the risk of having to correct information in the billing system if the billing system does not provide information that can be used by EZYcount.
Sends payments to the billing system
When you pass a payment against an invoice in the accounting, you have the possibility to send this information to your billing system so that it also passes a collection on this invoice.
You will find links or webhooks with specific addresses. The three default links are the EZYinvoice links.
If your billing system uses other addresses, you can click the “Add Webhook” button to add a new link.
